I think social networking is good because it can make you talk with your friends all the time. It can make you get many new friends too ; friends of your friends, friends of your teacher and friends of your girl/boy friend. If you have a girl/boy friend you also can check where is she/he? What is she/he doing? Who is she/he with?
Howener, it can be bad because if you have girl/boyfriend they also can check where are you too. Social networking can make you many friends but there are many kind of people in social-networking some are good people and some are bad. So if you want to be a social network account you have to be carefuly.
